Blue Hole (Guam)

Overview

Blue Hole (Guam) lies off Guam’s western coast in northern Agat Bay, just south of Apra Harbor’s entrance, a blue hole often called the island’s signature natural feature dive, its most requested site, and one of its most popular dives. Though it sits close to the southern shore of the Orote Peninsula, sheer cliffs make it a boat dive only, usually from Cabras Marina in Apra Harbor, about twenty minutes away. The sinkhole begins near 60 ft (18 m), falls beyond 300 ft (91 m), and beside the wall opens out at about 130 ft (40 m), just within advanced recreational limits by some agencies, with a heart-shaped mouth seen from inside, a moored entry, and a usual exit by surface marker buoy in east-to-west current for open-ocean pickup.
