Overview
Bowie Seamount, SG̱áan Ḵínghlas in Haida, rises as a large submarine volcano in the northeastern Pacific Ocean. It lies 180 km, or 110 mi, west of Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, Canada, and is also known as Bowie Bank. Its English name remembers William Bowie of the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey.
