Cod Hole

Overview

Cod Hole lies on Ribbon Reef Number 10, at the northern end of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia. One of the world’s best-known dive sites, it takes its name from the dozen or so potato cod that live there. Sanctioned feeding and the steady arrival of visitors have made it a focal point in debates over reef management.
